Welcome to ISLisp

Welcome to ISLisp

ISLisp is the ISO standard for Lisp languages and established in 1997. As an alternate solution to the defacto standard Common Lisp with huge language specification, ISLisp was developed to achieve a compact and consistent Lisp language to improve language processor efficiency and ease of learning and usage of the language, succeeding the fundamental concepts of Common Lisp and considering language features of EuLisp, Le Lisp and Scheme. In keeping with this objectives, ISLisp was developed on KL (Kernel Language) by Ito, Yuasa, Umemura and others as a basis for Lisp part and on ILOS, a subset of Common Lisp Object System CLOS, as a basis for object system.

This Web site is to encourage broad use of ISLisp by collecting and providing various information on ISLisp and software. This site also provides an ISO standard complient ISLisp processor, OK! ISLisp, as a free software.
